Documentary photography by David Polo
An artist specializing in documentary photography and cinematography, he collaborated from 2013 to 2017 with the photography agency and magazine Cuartoscuro as a photographer, reporter, and editor. His work has been exhibited in various group exhibitions in Mexico, England, Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, and Australia, among others. He has published in magazines such as Cuartoscuro, Encontraste Magazine.
He is the author of the photobooks Tlahuita la bella (2019) and La tierra del pulque (2020), from which homonymous solo exhibitions emerge.
He is currently working on the documentary photography project Súbale hay lugares, which consists of recording the last few days of different minibus routes in Mexico City.
Her work develops on the margins of popular culture and mass society in Mexico, documenting the colloquial and vernacular expressions present in the daily life of an economically, culturally, and socially dissociated and historically fragmented population.
